Not with a bang, but a whimper
(Check out pics from last week's match here)
It was a bitterly disappointed Michael "Killer"Kohn who uttered those words after Team Lee's 9-4 loss at the hands of Team Christen
"I thought it was our year"
It was the second year in a row that the Red Team has lost the four game total point final. Perhaps a change in colour might be in order
"Or perhaps some stay at home defenseman" offered Red Team veteran Sean "Happy" Calarco
The game was a spirited affair with both sides skating hard, hitting like girls and scoring like Gretzky. The first goal, of the night was scored by Team White captain Brett C.
"I really hate to see anyone else get the first goal" commented Christen. " I feel it's my duty to lead by example" said the humble one "and besides I prefer to get most of the credit for the success of this team."
We asked Christen what he thought was the key to his team's outstanding record.

"Firstly, I was on the team. Then, after drugging Gord Lee during the fall draft, I was able to secure both leading scorers from last year. We were stacked man"
A bitter Gord Lee, currently attending a Tribute to the Sprout festival in Brussels had this to say about the opposing Captain
"Sure I was duped, but you wait next year!"
Despite a strong performance from Lee's supporting cast - including a stand out performances by Pat "Art Boy"Corrigan, Bruce "Xcalibur" Bugden and rookie Ed Makarchuck, the Red squad was hard pressed to keep up with the scoring onslaught of the white team - including a three goal performance by Lawrie "One Move Boy" Livesay.
"We was spanked, bad" commented rookie goalie Ronnie Kowalik who's outstanding play-off performance was the highlight of the year

There is one question after such a decisive victory. Will acting commissioner Ed Chasse be force to break up the juggernaut that is the White squad?
"Jugger what? Maybe, but I kinda like winning, so I'll have to kinda like take it under consideration you know"
